Description: NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING! Extremely RARE German police wachtmeister (NCO) sword used from Imperial Wrttemburg right up to WWII. Not the typical police short sword, this saber has a 27" blade. This model is a direct descendant of the Napoleonic era Wrttemburg infantry briquet saber. Excellent condition see all pictures for description. Nickel plating on hilt and fittings is 98% intact , just a few tiny flaky spots on the D guard. Near mint polished steel blade, not plated, the usual for police swords, has only one tiny corrosion spot near the tip an a few near the ricasso, and a few fingerprints, the original "lines" are still visible on the blade, that's not scratching. Celluloid grip has no cracks or chips. Original beautiful original leather belt hanger with intricate buckle. Original Leather finger loop, washer and scabbard with complete stitching. Guard has a very slight wobble. Scabbard chape (tip) is slightly loose, take caution when inserting the blade by holding the tip, as should be done on all leather scabbards. Otherwise seats perfectly. Scabbard leather has some typical age related flaking to the surface but only really visible under bright lights, as with all the "flaws" but overall this is an investment grade specimen.
