Cypraea Ziczac f. blanca #26 17.6mm, Linnaeus 1758, RARE BEAUTY from Mozambique. It is an interesting shell, a live collected, almost albino ziczac cowrie, really quite a beauty! Found at low tide under rubble, Mozambique. I received a handful of them in a batch of ziczac cowries I had ordered, and at first I wasn’t excited about them, but as I began to examine them more closely, well, the pattern on these shells just blows me away! Really never found anything quite like them in Hawaii, but I imagine finding a shell as beautiful and as exquisite as these are would be like finding a really nice helvola or moneta cowrie, it just takes your breath away when you turn over the rock, and there, glowing and magnified in the water is that GEM! Wow!. Anyhow, this exquisite, almost albino ziczac cowrie (a bear to photograph, the shell is way more beautiful than its photos!), is a gorgeous GEM that will look terrific sitting on your shelf!The perfect shell for a first-class collection.
