You'd have to go back in time to find another combo like this listing.I listened to them by feeding a Sophia Electric Magik Box(not included) to this Tandberg set, and the music was heavenly artistic, rivaling many $10K+ solid-state systems. Without Magikbox, you would be back to earth for real. Note: the 3008A preamp switches may produce slight scratchy sound initially when you make any changes due to the lack of use for a longtime, but it should be back to normal after a few short minutes of use. For those who prefer, a switch cleaning spray could help, though it’s not essential. The volume control features a 20+ switching step attenuator volume control—a high-end design for its vintage era.
