Description: Iridescent Brown Calcite Keokuk Geodeclosed geode dimensions: 2-1/4 in X 2-1/4 in X 1-7/8 inweight: 5.6 ozThis Keokuk geode is lined with dark brown pseudocubic calcite crystals that are iridescent, reflecting strong metallic purple hues off of its crystals' faces. A later growth of clear rhombic calcite crystal "buttons" formed atop the brown calcite. This geode comes from a site where the geodes formed in groups packed together. There are other partial geodes attached to this one. This gem of a find was dug from a Warsaw Formation exposure in Adams County, Illinois. I specialize in top quality, mineralized Midwestern USA Geodes. My passion is collecting, buying, trading, and selling these geodes. I buy & sell collections. Through a large network of collectors, I have access to the aesthetic, coveted geodes that high-end collectors seek. Mostly, my desire is to share the beauty & amazement of geodes with others. The photos only capture a portion of their three-dimensional beauty.Good luck bidding. Auctions end Sunday night.I combine packaging of multiple items won to reduce your shipping costs.
