Lid is yellow & rose gold overlay with a quilted pillow top design & engraved swirl & bead accents. The oval compact is 2 13/16” wide x"2 3/16” long x 9/16” thick. The sides & bottom are yellow gold overlay with a ribbed pattern. There is a push button release that works well & the sides meet flush. Mirror is slightly silvered. There is a powder screen, puff & paper bottom with black epoxy underneath. Hallmarked Evans, U.S. Pat 2212440, Sterling. Surface scratches, patina, wearing to the overlay finish.
