The helmet is applied over the head just like any hat minifig piece, and the front and back torso shield, is put on with the minifig head removed,and replaced over the torso piece. Then both arm pieces, are just snapped on from the side, as well as the leg/shoe pieces- they also snap on from the sidesThe back of the torso piece also has a stud which you can attach a backpack!
