Description: Offered is a circa 1930 Emerson Seagull Electric Desk top or table fan features a 8" blade and a solid, heavy cast iron base. Fan appears to be complete and original including the seagull decal, seagull guard topper, blade hub covering, cord and power plug. This model does not have a on/off switch or a oscillating mechanism. Original base decal states: EMERSON SEA GULL 110 V. - 60 CY. - 3 AMP PATENT APPLIED FOR 14 The fan runs and the original fabric cord is in fairly good condition. The plug (which appears to be original) has some missing material. Measures about 12" tall x 9" wide x 7 1/2" deep and weighs about 4 1/2 pounds. I have owned this fan for 40 years and is exactly as it was when picked.... complete, original, runs. I have left it exactly as found. Great candidate for a restoration or give it a sympathetic cleaning for a original fan with vintage character. Cord and plug should be replaced for regular, safe operation.
