Description: Welcome to Antiques & Moore!This listing is for a lovely English silver plated sugar shaker, castor or muffineer made by Elkington & Company founded in Birmingham in 1842. The shaker has a classic elegant shape with pierced decorated top for dispensing powdered sugar. Silver is well marked with the Elkington trademark stamp and "Elkington Plate, England, 24787" with date stamp for 1862. Measures 7 1/8" high with a 3 1/8" base diameter. Weighs 12.7 ounces. This nice muffineer is in excellent Estate condition with no flaws and reflecting only minimal signs of normal wear. Please note that we actually have a pair of these lovely muffineers purchased from the same Estate, however, we are selling them separately.
