Description: EAT EXACTLY WHAT WW2 SOLDIERS ATE! Since 2020, Hero Rations has specialized in creating the most authentic reproduction World War II rations available today. Their products are meticulously crafted to replicate the look, feel, and content of original wartime rations, making them ideal for collectors, reenactors, and history enthusiasts. Each ration pack is made to be historically accurate, using original reference materials, photographs, and documentation to ensure precise replication. From the packaging design to the labels and the contents themselves, Hero Rations strives to deliver a truly immersive experience using over 240 different products and ingredients sourced from all over the world. We go to great lengths to source or recreate the food items that would have been included in WWII rations, such as canned goods, biscuits, candy, and beverages. All of the consumable items are fully edible and made and packaged to GMP food safety standards. Many of the contents are also reusable, like sturdy metal cans and containers, adding practicality and sustainability to their appeal, especially for reenactors and living historians. Hero Rations blends historical accuracy with quality and reusability, providing a genuine taste of history in every ration we produce. Our fully edible and historically accurate C Rations are made using the correct sized and seamed cans from WW2, but designed to be opened from the top and reclosed, instead of a single use can using a scored seam along the edge. In addition to the can dimensions, the can markings and die stamping are accurate for mid and late war. We have three early war and three late war B unit and M Unit variations available! See our other auctions for the other types! Best of all à FREE SHIPPING! This listing is for two cans – B unit and M unit! The WW2 C Ration was issued as two cans for each meal a single - B Unit and single M Unit. A full day ration would three meals so six cans total. The early war cocoa beverage powder B unit comes in the correct sized can with lithographed lid, with reverse die date stamping just like originals. Inside are a set of five historically-accurate biscuits, produced according to 1943 QMC documentation for the recipe. These biscuits are made with different flours, invert sugar, sucrose, soda, malt powder, lard/shortening, milk powder and salt. They are made to the correct size and hole pattern as period examples in our collection. A small glassine or paper separator tops the biscuits like originals to separate the biscuits from the other contents in the can. Also inside is a glassine sachet of cocoa beverage powder and individually wrapped fudge candies (or large fudge square). Also accompanying the B Unit is the M Unit. Our M Unit cans are designed just like the B Units. They come empty to be filled with contents of your choice – either at the time of use or a repackage can stored inside, or just left as is for display. NOTES: Cans are sealed with food safe adhesive along the top rim. They can be resealed using your choice of adhesive. Biscuits can crack in transit. The period-correct packaging was not designed to keep them full intact and safe. Nearly every period can I’ve opened had at least one broken biscuit. Please see our other listings for more varieties of the B Units and M Unit sets!
