Description: Is this a Pairpoint / Lightolier Collaboration - I think so! Condition: I consider this Very good antique condition - no cracks or chips of any noticeable size in the glass although there are a few areas of roughness, and a tiny flake here or there of the missing green border line, not visible from below. One of the stenciled original designs does shows some fading, but most of the color is strong. The other designs are very nice. There’s a bit of streaking or cloudiness I think I can see sometimes when the light hits it ever so…All in all The shade shows very nicely. Some have attributed this shade to the great Pairpoint. Despite these "flaws" which I have made in total full disclosure, the shade shows beautifully. Put the faded motif facing the wall and it will look perfect. Details: This Hard to find, “donut”-shaped, glass shade has a lovely distinctive style to it- the background of the glass is an amber/peach sort of color with “graining” or “fine lines or ridges” in a slightly darker pumpkin color in the glass. I’ve seen Lightolier use this effect on the glass in some of their better sconces. It gives a dimension or depth or a waviness to the glass that isn’t ordinarily found. It makes the glass feel “thicker” than it actually is. Inside of the shade, there are “reverse painted” or “reverse stenciled” ( and fired into the glass) lovely art deco or specifically Egyptian Revival branch of Art Deco- designs with motifs in shades of yellow, blue. 0range, green, red. It’s a pattern repeated in some of Lightoliers nicest works from this time period 1910's-1920s. Together with the art glass, the effect is ethereal, very arty and dreamy. Approximate Measurements: Total Height: 4.75” Top Opening with Green Lip: 6-6.25” Bottom opening: 7.66” ( has a small stain lip to possibly drop into a 7.75-8” fixture ring *** I do not have the shade holdet
