Description: 1953 Presidential Inauguration Souvenir Amber Glass Bottle for President Dwight D. Eisenhower. A vintage 1953 (aka MCMLIII) Presidential inauguration souvenir bottle celebrating President Eisenhower's inauguration. The bottle originally contained a fifth of a gallon of Old Mr. Boston brand liquor, but is now empty. The amber glass has white graphics painted onto the bottle and includes the original black plastic cap. Graphics include a picture and history of the U.S. Capitol Building and a list of the names, birthdates, birthplaces and inauguration dates of U.S, Presidents through Eisenhower, which is #1-34, as well as other embellishments. Raised lettering on the bottom contain 4 numbers - 14, 2, 1D1 and 52. Raised lettering across the shoulder of the bottle describes federal law prohibiting selling and reusing (w/ alcohol). There is a tiny hole drilled above the eagle above the list of presidents. Not sure what the purpose was. Otherwise great condition. Painted label is still perfect after all these years (over 70). This is a fantastic mid-century piece of political memorabilia. Approx. 11-1/4" high
