The author takes us on a tour with us to all the places where the food is the best, pausing often to tell readers fascinating food lore, the romance of coffee and how to really cook a steak. Here is wonderful reading for anyone who likes to eat. Contains an index of restaurants. Written with a whole-hearted zest for a wide variety of delectable dishes from ham and eggs to deluxe menus, Duncan Hines educated America about food—years before he his appreciation of fine food into an international corporation.
