Description: Dracula by Bram Stoker. The first US edition was published in 1899. This early edition was published only 4 years later in 1903 by Doubleday, Page & Company and is a Crowned Masterpieces of Modern Fiction Special Subscription Edition. This edition is quite rare. Highly collectible. The book is in very good condition for its age. I recently sold another copy in very good condition and this one has a little less wear. The upper exposed edge of the text block is gold. The other two edges are deckled and have not been trimmed. The boards are solid with general light wear and rubbing. The spine is in good shape with some light wear and rubbing particularly at the tips. As a result of the deckled edges, the longer pages have very short tears (see pictures for an example). Pages are slightly age toned with a few minor finger smudges here and minor foxing on end papers.Still a nice example of an early edition of Dracula, which is a must have to make any Dracula collection complete. Please ask questions or for more pictures before bidding/buying so you can assess condition for yourself. I want my customers to know exactly what they are getting and to be happy with their purchases. If in doubt, please ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE bidding/buying. Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding!!!
