Description: This a very old complete Singer attachment box. It has a side catch/hook to close the box. Most of the accessories and holders have 5-digit numbers. Box is stamped with the patent date — February 19, 1889 and contains the attachments for the Singer Sewing machine. This dovetailed box is made of a wonderful honey colored oak. It’s 6 1/2” long x 3 1/4” tall x 3 1/4” deep. Easy to close, it just rolls up and is lined with the original red velvet. The last picture shows a reprint of the original manual page for the Singer Sewing Machine accessories (copy will be included with your purchase). Hinges are in good operating order. Original finish was removed and the box was refinished inside and out with several coats of MinWax Satin Varnish and hand-buffed with paste wax and 0000 steel wool.
