Description: This is a late-1940s to early 1950s Colt Government Model 1911 assembly of parts. Included is: the complete blued slide with its front and rear sights, firing pin, extractor, etc. (this is a “Hard Slide” roll-marked on its right side with “COLT'S MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT.” which is a roll-mark that was used for just a few years in the late 1940 to the early 1950s), the complete barrel assembly with its locking-link, hammer and strut, mainspring assembly, trigger and related parts, factory plastic grips, grip screws, slide release lever; safety, magazine release, etc. No other parts than those shown in the photos are included. The parts are used, in overall good condition, but have finish loss, scratches, small nicks, etc. The slide has Colt’s high-gloss finish on its sides, with matte-finished areas to help control glare for the shooter. The right-side high-gloss area has what appears to be “buffing marks” on each side of the roll-mark; it is difficult see in the photos, but there is a very slight “haze” appearance in the high-gloss on each side of the roll-mark.
