Description: Origin: Yixing, China. Made from original Zhuni clay with reduction firing technique. Hand-painted and completely handmade. Capacity: 260cc. Firing is a key step in the process of making a purple clay teapot. There are many ways to fire a purple clay teapot, and each firing process presents a unique beauty and characteristics. Wood firing, reduction firing and ash warming each have their own unique features, giving the purple clay teapot different colors and textures. Covering ash is the result of human manipulation. It is to put the teapot that needs to be changed due to lack of fire or other factors into a sagger, cover it with rice bran, and fire it again at the furnace head of the dragon kiln or in a low-temperature oxygen-deficient state (reducing atmosphere) below 1000℃. The temperature rises slowly during firing, and the rice bran is ignited but lacks sufficient oxygen and cannot be fully burned. The carbon molecules in the rice bran are absorbed into the pot body, reducing the high-valent iron ions to a low-valent state, and the pot color appears gray and black. A good covered ash pot is black like a good Hui ink, black but not flat, and has a warm feeling. The covering ash process does not add any harmful chemicals, and the color changes only because the iron element changes its form of existence. However, it should be noted that not all clay materials can be used for covering ash. Zhuni has a high degree of crystallization, and the success rate of covering ash is extremely low; clay materials mixed with other pigments generally produce a "flower pot" phenomenon after covering ash; the bottom groove is clear and covered with ash, the color is black with green, and the green is blue; the mud structure of the group mud is loose, and it cannot be covered with ash.
