Description: This postcard trio features images of famous evangelist Billy Sunday during his revivals headquartered in Winona Lake, Indiana in the early 1900s. The photos have a vintage feel and showcase the energy and enthusiasm of Sunday's preaching. Sunday (1862-1935) began his career in 1883 as an outfielder for the Chicago White Stockings and played eight seasons in Major League Baseball, but later became one of the country's best known evangelists. Between 1896 and 1935 he gave an estimated 20,000 sermons. A great addition to any collection of historic memorabilia or religious artifacts. Two of the postcards have been mailed (1908 and 1914?); one is unmailed. See enlarged images for condition.
