The child has a finish which is supposed to mimic age verdigris. Although the photos suggest that the finish is obvious and is light in color, the finish is truly very much reminiscent of true age verdigris. The child, probably a girl with short hair, is standing with her feet crossed and has a hand on her chest and her other arm stretched backwards with her fist closed. A very nice heavy decorative piece that would look great as a decorative accent in your home. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of the description. Date: Uncertain but most likely mid to late 20th century. Origin: Purchased at an estate auction in Southeastern Pennsylvania Size: Measures ~7 1/2" high and the base is ~2 1/2" in diameter. The marble base has a felt cover but you can feel that there is a hole in its center with what feels as a screw head suggesting the piece is attached to the base using a screw. Although the photos suggest that the finish is obvious to the eye and is light in color, the finish is less obvious and is truly very much reminiscent of true age verdigris.
