Description: Genuine large Kentucky bourbon barrel stave with bunghole shipped to you from the heart of bourbon country! From a family which has worked in the bourbon industry for decades. Beautifully aged white oak staves from barrels used to store and age bourbon. The insides are charred to open up the wood and impart more flavor to the bourbon as it ages. The outsides show age, graying, chalk marks and marks from the steel barrel bands. We have not cleaned them, as these are used for countless projects and crafts, some of which call for distressed appearance and some for cleaned sanded appearance. Some have stress cracks at center but all are solid. The ones with bungholes are ideal to hold bouquets, candles, etc for table settings. It takes 31-33 staves to make a barrel and only ONE of them has a hole! They are approx 3-4" wide at center, approx 35" long and 1" thick. They are curved an inch or two and do not lay flat. No two alike. We ship with bungholes still corked but will remove for you if you request or you can do it yourself. PRICE IS FOR ONE STAVE WITH BUNGHOLE.
