Description: Here are two charming figurines of little naked babies of crawling age. The bisque finish is unglazed white with a hint of pink porcelain with a matte appearance and texture to the touch. They’re too small and precious to have been shawl-securing “piano babies”. The babe on her back with hands behind head is 3 ½” long. The crawling one with its cute little bubble butt is 3” long. These little ones have all their fingers and toes. 😊 They are in very good condition with minimal scuffing and no chips, cracks, or crazing. The paint remains undamaged on the faces and curly-haired heads. The underside of each has the word “Japan”. I’m guessing the age to be prior to 1945, before the period of US-occupied Japan when imports were marked accordingly. Thanks for looking.
