Frequency response is measured at 20hz-20khz +/- 1dbwhen primary is loaded between 10ohm and 200ohm source impedance,which is the typical load offered by most of MC cartridges, with very good1khz square wave response and very little overshot and ultrasonic ringing, so no need for compensation on the secondary and no saturation of the preamp. The transformers have five wires, the red and black are the primary, theyellow and blue are secondary, the brown is the faraday shield. Red andblue are in phase with each other. The wires are 1.5" long and are ready tobe soldered to a connection board.
