Description: Artedi Italian Travertine Glass Coffee Table Vintage Mid-Century Italy Description and Item Information Up for sale is this sleek, vintage, modernist Italian coffee table. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This beautiful piece of European living room furniture has a travertine base with chrome-finished metal supports on which a thick, square glass top is placed. The stone base has wheels beneath so it can be more easily moved. There are four small, clear plastic pads that go in between the metal and the glass top. The top measures approximately 39 3/4 inches by 39 3/4 inches by 3/4 inch. The travertine base measures about 19 3/4 inches by 19 3/4 inches, excluding the metal supports. The height of the table top when it is resting on the base is approximately 11 7/8 inches. This would be a fabulous addition to a mid-century modern decor. Identification This table is attributed to Artedi. The underside of the stone base is marked, "MADE IN ITALY." The exact age of this vintage table is not known, but it is likely circa 1970s. It is from an art conscious northern California estate. Condition The table looks very good overall with light wear. There are some scattered, very fine scratches to the glass. There are a few tiny, scattered fleabite flakes to the edges of the glass, which do not detract. There are a few very small, flat flakes to the travertine. The metal supports have some very minor pitting to the chrome finish. If you need additional photos, please ask.
