Description: A large and rare Antique Victorian vitro porcelain blue milk glass comport made by Sowerby. Circa 1880, it is in two parts with reticulated bowl and stand. In good condition considering it has survived over 140 years. It has two chips on the rim of the basket and some minor crazing although these minor blemishes are not very noticeable due to the density of the glass and colour. There is a tiny bit of damage shown in the last picture which is again, hard to see. Basket weave design and standing on a pedestal base with 3 scrolled feet. Marked on the base with the Peacock head. There are also some black marks on the base which are from the glass mould. Measuring 24cm diameter x 16.5cm high.
