Description: Offered for sale is a wonderful 19th century New England made miniature slant-lid wooden desk for children, or in use with a doll display or in a large dollhouse. I have displayed it with an antique china head doll currently for sale in another listing so as to give an idea of scale. (The china head doll is 19" tall.) The desk is 12 1/2" and has a slanted lid with two recessed arms that can be pulled out to support the lid when the desk is open, and can be pushed back in, flush with the desk drawers when the desk top is closed. The desk is 9" across (wide), and 6" deep when the lid is closed, and 10" deep when the lid is open. Inside are 3 cubbies for displaying miniature books, papers or other things. The little box, glass perfume bottle and MOP brooch are not included in this listing, but are currently listed in other items I have up for sale. All drawers open smoothly and the desk is all-original. The bottom drawer is missing one of the wooden round bun knobs. The dresser has been made of pine and retains its red painted finish, with aged patina. Please message me if you have any questions at all.
