Antique Original Rare Hubley Cast Iron Penguin on Iceberg Pen Pencil Holder

Description: This is a genuine original pen or pencil holder in the form of a handsome penguin standing on an iceberg. It is hand painted in multi colors, including black, orange, white, green and blue. It is about 2 ¼ " high. One of a series of pencil holders in nursery rhyme and other themes, attributed to Hubley or Wilton, that dates from the 1930s. A really charming design to include in a display of cast iron toys, paperweights, etc. Guaranteed all original, the piece is in it's original paint with minimal spots of paint loss and in far nicer condition than most. When these come up for auction they consistently sell for north of $100.Measures 2-1/8"H x 1-7/8"W. Fresh out of an estate and offered for the first time! I have not cleaned these items aside from a light dust off. Light soiling, dust, old age toning, scratches, dents, paint loss and rust could be present along with other minor wear consistent with age.
