Description: This antique Ogee E.N.Welch 8-day clock with a painted glass door depicting the old capital building in Albany, New York state. With veneer mahogany finish. The clock features a 8-day movement and chime sequence. Cast iron weights , key and pendulum. This clock is professionally restored mechanically. The case has a little bit of veneer loss at corners and some some other minor issues with the veneer, (see photos) I find more interesting the depiction of the Old Capitol building in Albany, New York. This building housed the government of the state of New York from 1812 to 1879 when the current Capitol building was erected. This clock holds historical significance for collectors of the state of New York items. The painting is in reasonably good condition. There's slight paint loss on the building and on the brush below. This clock is being sold "As Is".
