Description: This is a hand painted whiskey or wine jug or pitcher with a beautiful painting of corn on cobs. This piece is signed on the bottom with the original artist initials. Made by the Count Thun factory in the late 19th century. The jug has an early marks of impressed TK mark and 39 on the side of the bottom rim. It was made in Klosterle, Bohemia around 1918 and probably sold by PH Leonard who was an importer. This has the appearance, style and quality of any high end United States Pottery Company during that time period. Pictures appear to have a seam around middle. NOTHING THERE ITS GLARE ON PICTURE. Size: depending where measure to spout 6" Condition: no chips or cracks. There are a couple scratches, and a place where artists didn't paint all that well. The bottom has a couple paint flakes spots.. This is so much one sophisticated that the other companies who put yellow corn only This is painted with beautiful swirls and ribbon like brush movements. Sitting on shelf you don't see the defects I've described.
