Description: ANTIQUE AMERICAN 19TH C. STONEWARE HAND THROWN SALT GLAZED JAR POT CROCK The featured item represents an antique hand thrown stoneware jar that measures approximately 8 1/2" tall and 5 1/4" x 5" across the top. The piece has a cylindrical form but it's a bit irregular in shape. It has a tooled neck and the exterior is finished in light gray glaze. There are three hand drawn covers in underglazed blue. No marks or singnatures found but possibly made by Peter Hermann of Baltimore, MD or in the manner of Hermann. The item comes in overall good condition for its age with a horizontal hairline on one of the sides, wear from usage, as well as the typical production flaws and imperfections for this type of ware.
