Description: Antique 1894 Armand Marseille 11" Bisque/Composition German Doll, Redressed Doll in gently used, good antique condition from a non-smoking environment. Doll is redressed (dress some discoloration). Doll has all limbs and both hands and feet. Fingers are a little chipped (see photos). Doll features a bisque head and composition body, with a light complexion and curly light brown hair. The doll measures 11 inches long. Doll was owned by Florence Thomas (1909-2007), a prolific artist from Ashe County, North Carolina. Her art has been showcased in major exhibitions across the eastern United States and her legacy lives on through the non-profit Florence Thomas Art School in West Jefferson, NC to which this doll was bequeathed.
