Description: Antique 1892- Measuring about 6" x 8-1/4", these two hardback books make up the complete two-volume set of "A Half-Century of Conflict" by Francis Parkman. Together, the two volumes make up Part 6 of the series "France and England in North America - A Series of Historical Narratives", and both books have two title pages to reflect the dual identity. Volume 1 is 333 pages long, and Volume 2 is 395. Published in Boston by Little, Brown Company, they have matching copyright and publication dates of 1892 and are therefore presumed to be the First Edition. Both books are in acceptable condition for with cracked hinges , at the front end paper of Volume 1, but the bindings otherwise nice and tight, light surface rubbing and edge wear on the covers.
