They were made by MAJOR EQUIPMENT of CHICAGO Lightolier Art Deco Milk Glass Pendant Chandelier Mid Century Modern Vintage Outstanding Art Deco Chandelier Lightolier Chrome, glass & steel. Circa 1920's - A stunning pendant lamp ideal for foyer or dining. Measures 20" across without the Aluminum Ring and 27"3/4' with the aluminum Ring and total drop is 33". This original period piece produced by Lightolier has the hardware in chrome and the shade produced in milk glass and is stamped. The chrome is original and in excellent condition, a ceiling cap is also included with this lamp to be hung from the ceiling as can be seen in the pictures. Comes with the mogul socket, but there is an adaptor that can be bought to allow regular sized bulbs. This lamp can take up to a 400 watt bulb. This can be used as a single source chandelier due to the high wattage capability. The saucer oyster styled shade will be well packed. Will be sent via FedEx. - We have 7 of these in the same exact condition, if buyer wants more than one, please buy more than one, up to seven total. Came from the DETROIT OBSERVATORY and had never been replaced. The DETROIT OBSERVATORY which was built in 1854 and this Light Fixture is at least 100 YEARS OLD (yes, One Hundred Years old)! They were extremely well kept and stored in a special crate in 1997 during the observatory's first major renovation and have been kept there ever since!
