Description: This spectacular Victorian Aesthetic platter was made by T&R Boote of Tunstall, Staffordshire, England, in the 1880s. The pattern is called Yosemite, and it features a quaint English country village along a river with a church steeple dominating the landscape. The entire scene is framed by a flowering cherry tree, as well as wonderful asymmetric cartouches. Condition: The platter is in excellent condition. I can find no scratch marks, dings, chips, or crazing. There is no staining or yellowing, and the white is still very vibrant, contrasting the brown transfer very well. There are three very minor firing inclusions on the back, typical of ironstone production. Please contact me if you have any questions.
