Description: I have a 1 owner pair of AR 3 speakers. I obtained these from a man in Chicago selling them for a widow co worker who lost her husband in a train wreck, a few years back. The husband was the original owner and never moved speakers from their original placement in his home studio, since original purchase. These are probably the best pair I've ever seen. They've both been equipped with new potentiometers. One pair needed new capacitors, while the other landed within 10% of original specs, 24uf, and 6 uf. All original badges are included as well as original plastic grills, orginal pots removed, and speaker grill mesh. They've also been equipped with new grills from oak plywood and New grill material. Both serial numbers are consecutive. One speaker is still being completed with new potentiometers, and that one didn't need recapping. Included are two, pristine AR3 Speakers, rebuilt to specs, with new speaker grills and all badges. The fact that all badges and original grills still are in tact gives Testament to their extraordinary condition. The original speaker grills were brittle and cracked upon removal for new potentiometers and caps. Though the plastic grills are glued back together. More photos will follow upon completion of new pots in second speaker. Pictured is the new, more usable and removable wooden grills. This is a local pickup only. Will not ship.
