Description: Penn Antique Restoration 30"x89.5"x2" Antique Victorian Eastlake Entry Door Single Window NO GLASS w/Applied Molding & 3 Panels Gorgeous, antique, exterior door salvaged from an old, home in Northeastern PA. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine. The door has a worn stain on both sides. Because the stain is worn, this allows for an easier time sanding and/or stripping. When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. The door has a single window without any glass. There are 3 raised panels below the glass. Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay store). * If you would like the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote. Quirks & Considerations: The door has 6 (1/16"-1/8") gaps (see last photo). This is not a serious issue and the door can still be installed and used for decades without the gaps widening. However, we could close the gaps using clamps and reinforce/secure the corners using modern glue and some dowels (wooden joints)--message us for a quote. Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks." Swing: The door is set up to swing into a home towards the right or away from the home towards the left. We could modify the door to swing in the opposite direction--message us for a quote. Modification: We could also modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
