Description: This is a great looking fossilized great white shark tooth that was found diving in a Carolina river. It is rare to find any GWs this large anywhere. check out the amazing color! The enamel color and serrations are first class. You can see in the photos that the root has some river wear and there are a few nicks on the blade up near the root. It measures 2.46” which is a very large size for a fossil great white shark tooth. Great White sharks have been around for millions of years, and have not changed much at all. They arrived on the scene about 10-14 million years ago around the end Miocene Era and competed with the Megalodon sharks. The Great White Sharks are still swimming in the modern oceans, but the Megalodon is long extinct. The condition is millions of years old.
