Description: 2 Rare Wood & Sons ENGLISH SCENERY PURPLE Transfer 10” Dinner Plates Offering a rare pair (2) of dinner plates by Enoch Wood & Sons, Woods Ware, in the English Scenery Purple pattern, early to mid-20th century. Pattern features a central transfer printed farm scene with horse and cart surrounded by a large peony band Each measure 10 ⅛” diameter Set is in overall Excellent condition, plates show little surface wear, note one plate has a chip to the back side of rim, the other has a discolored area at backside of rim, uncertain if repair (both cannot be seen from front), both do show crazing commensurate with age, please see all photos A Wonderful addition to any collection!
