Description: 1979 SCHWINN MINI STINGRAY II 16 BIKE KRATE MIDGET VINTAGE DETROIT LIONS BLUE 79 Click Photos to Enlarge Description Here is a rare original October 1979 SCHWINN STINGRAY PIXIE 16" BICYCLE! (The Serial Number is KQ) This bike is from the era when most everything was cool! (the HEMICUDA, Mach 1 Mustang, and Camaro Z-28 come to mind!) This bike is in very original condition. In fact, as far as I can tell, nearly every single part of this bike is original. This bike has been in long term storage and has not been owned by collectors. Be the first to get this bike back into the light and enjoy it! IN FACT, this is a real deal Wisconsin BARN FIND very recently removed from very long term storage! *The bike is in the original and very appealing Radiant Blue and silver 2-tone factory painted color. (I had a guy one time insist this was "Honolulu Blue" like the Detroit Lions use. It was not intended that way but would be fun for a Lions fan!) It has the original chrome 16x1.75" Schwinn S7 rims front and rear with a Bendix rear hub. Both front and rear tires hold air. They are the cool Schwinn tires like used on the front of a Krate! The bike has its original paint chainguard, cool mini handlebars, matching Schwinn blue hand grips, newer white mini banana seat, chrome rear fender, (I dont believe Stingray II bikes came with a front fender) and so much more! I dont know where you would find another like it! It is awesome! The bike is an original single speed with operable brakes. I love the mini frame! Great for display or I KNOW a young person out there would enjoy riding this one! *Now is your chance to own one of the COOLEST bikes EVER MADE! Make someone in your life happy with this one. This is a cool bike that you can enjoy for years! It is money in the bank and will only go UP in value! You RARELY find these bikes anymore! They were all abused and thrown away back in the 1970s-80s. Finding one these days is a big challenge. If you check out Ebay, the selection on any 1960s Stingray bikes is very little. They are very cool and people enjoy owning, riding, and displaying them! Most people do not sell these bikes once they have them. I believe this to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. *NOTED FLAWS I got this one just like you see it. I love the fact that this bike still wears its original paint. (has chips scratches etc. See pics) I LOVE the fact that this one has never been repainted and is such a unique color combination! The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. (would look nicer with a basic detailing) Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) The front head badge has some gauges.
