The obverse of the coin depicts the building of the Abbasia mint with the dates 1954-1979 above it and a legend indicating the coin commemorates the silver jubilee of the mint. The reverse shows the denomination and the date both in AD and AH. It also says Arab Republic of Egypt. This is a very beautiful. It is KM-488 and weighs 15 grams of 0.72 silver. This is a scarce coin having a low mintage of 23,000 coins. It measures approximately 35 mm in diameter. The coin has a reeded edge. Please carefully review scan as it is part and parcel of our description. Date: 1979 AD - 1399 AH. Mint: Egypt. Size and weight: This is a one pound, weighs 15 grams and is ~35 mm in diameter. References: It is KM #488. Condition: I would grade this coin as a nice uncirculated with full mint luster and having all the details very well preserved. The coin has excellent eye appeal and is beautiful. The coin has no observable problems. It is much better than the scan shows.
