Description: Here is a Gerald Thurston designed lamp from Lightolier. Circa 1950’s. This is an adjustable bridge style table lamp. The design features a saucer shaped shade with black paint and gold pinstripe & rim, capped with a brass dish and screw on finial. The light source is adjustable in height, sliding vertically on a polished post with a circular black base. The lamp is mostly constructed of heavy brass. Approx. Dimensions: Post Height: 17 inches Maximum height: 23 inches Base/shade Width: 17 inches Base diameter: 6 1/2 inches Shade diameter: 13 inches Condition: This table lamp comes from a tobacco smokers estate. It was removed from the estate and cleaned 2 years ago. There is still a faint smell of tobacco on this lamp. The lamp itself shows patina to the brass and losses to paint. The brown wire looks original and is flexible. The lamp works while plugged in. The lamp shade is not perfect. The polished post that holds the arm and shade is bent, so the lamp leans. (See photos) Note: the filament bulb used in the lamp for photos is a warm color when lit. This lamp is sold as is with no returns
