This buffer is a very inexpensive way to prevent metal to metal contact of the slide or breech block within the frame. The recoil buffer easily slides over the Recoil Spring Guide. We do not Recommend the use of this product in the following models: Colt Officer, Para Ordnance (P12), Springfield Compact models, or models that have less than a 5" barrel.
