Description: What an incredible book! This was used as the pulpit Bible for the Presbyterian Church of Laurelhurst in Portland, Oregon for many years. Despite those years of use, the condition is remarkable. The pages are still fairly clean with the exception of a small, stray mark here or there. And, as you'll see in the pictures, there a few slightly torn page corners on the lower right for whatever reason. The binding is still shockingly strong for a book weighing in excess of 10 lbs. It will fall open in the center as it was meant do to, but nothing about the binding feels loose or even strained. The first endpaper when you open the book has a pretty severe crease, and the cover has some wear and a few spots. Lastly, some of the pages were bound a little off center, which has resulted in them sitting lower than the others. That's why you'll see a little rumpling along the bottom edge of some pages and why, from the side, it might look like there are loose papers. I tried to get pictures of the tops and bottoms of those sections as best I could, but I'm not sure how well photos can illustrate what I'm talking about. I think that's about it. Overall, this is a really nice bible! Please let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for looking!
