Description: A pair of Dog caricature prints, "Show Your Tongue" and its companion "Feel My Teeth." The latter signed (in print) by the artist "R.H. Moore del". Published by Leighton Brothers, Drury Lane. A wonderful pair of prints asking to adorn the waiting room of either a doctor or a vet! A bloodhound doctor having some trouble with his terrier patient. Genuine Victorian prints, dated in pencil on the back 1889, which would tie in with the printers Leighton Brothers who, according to the British Museum, were at the Drury Lane address from approx. 1888 - 1895. The artist, R.H. Moore, was a prolific illustrator for publications like "Animal World", "Stock-keeper", and "Sporting and Dramatic News", etc. Based in Northleigh, Oxfordshire, he specialised in animal subjects. Size: each print measures approx. 35.5cms x 24.5cms.Condition: In very good condition. Please study the photographs.
