Scuffing and a tear along front joint and title block on spine peeling off. Part of title block for tome number also peeling away. Minimal but occasional foxing throughout. xxiv, 499 pages. Tome 2: Contains Livre III, Livre IV et le debut de Livre V. Minorly chipped to head and a little more to tail. Title block on spine missing. 501 pages. Tome 3: Contains le fin de Livre V, tout le Livre VI, et le debut d'un Recueil Des Pieces Historiques et Curieuses. Chipped to head and tail. Tear down front joint. Missing title block on spine. 503 pages. Tome 4: Contains Recueil Des Pieces Historiques et Curieuses. Tape marks/browning to borders of endpapers. Chipped to head only. Ink marks on front free endpaper and front pastedown. vii, 470 pages. Tome 5: Contains Recueil Des Pieces Historiques et Curieuses, et le table des matieres. Tape marks/browning to borders of endpapers. Chipped to head and tail. Tear down front joint and title block peeling off. Part of title block for tome number missing. There is a pagination error between pages 432 and 437. 527 pages, inc table des matieres. Brown hardback boards with brown leather spine, 5 raised bands, and gilt decoration. Brown title block with gilt tome number on each. Red tinted page edges and marbled endpapers. 'Eu Horton' inscribed on the front free endpaper of each tome. All tomes have a woodcut vignette on the title page. All tomes are 17.5 cm x 10.5 cm.
